About the Role
We’re seeking a talented and culturally aware Videographer & Photographer to lead on content creation for Love Leeds Road, a 12-month campaign promoting one of Bradford’s most vibrant commercial corridors. You will capture the spirit of over 200 businesses — from street food and global groceries to fashion boutiques and bridal retailers — helping to celebrate the area’s unique identity and attract visitors from across the district and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality photographs and short-form video content showcasing:
- Local businesses, owners, and teams
- Food and drink experiences
- Specialist retailers (jewellery, modest fashion, bridalwear)
- Community life, street scenes, and cultural moments
- Local businesses, owners, and teams
- Deliver a minimum of 20 short-form videos and 200+ branded photographs aligned to campaign strategy and content calendar
- Collaborate closely with the in-house social media manager and Out of Place project team
- Ensure consistency in visual style, including use of brand templates, colour schemes and tone
- Edit video content with clean b-roll and neutral voiceover (aligned to LeedsPlus visual style)
- Support community storytelling, contributing to campaign strands like “Produce”, “People & Stories” and “Places to Eat”
- Attend community events and scheduled business visits as needed (weekday and occasional weekends)
- Organise content in a structured asset bank for reuse across the campaign lifecycle
- Contribute creative input during content planning workshops
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in commercial videography and photography (portfolio required)
- Ability to direct and edit short-form video for social media (especially TikTok & Instagram Reels)
- Strong storytelling instincts, with sensitivity to cultural and community dynamics
- Experience working in live environments (e.g. shops, restaurants, community venues)
- Comfortable working independently in public settings and engaging with business owners
- Awareness of accessibility, inclusivity and community representation in visuals
Preferred Experience
- Previous work in a place-based, cultural or tourism marketing campaign
- Experience filming food, fashion, or event-based content
- Bradford or West Yorkshire local knowledge is a bonus
