Youth Theatre Arts Scotland

Building a platform for Scotland’s development organisation for youth theatre.

Client

Youth Theatre Arts Scotland were established in 2004, playing an instrumental role in building and supporting a vibrant and vital youth theatre sector in Scotland through a combination of youth theatre projects, training and professional development, information and advocacy.

Requirements
YTAS required a new website with a clear interface design to help communicate the dynamic range of youth theatre activity in Scotland. The site required a comprehensive, engaging, and easy to use listings site for youth theatre events with a  repository/archive for previous events.  To free up admin time in the office, YTAS required an easy to use content input system with pre-styled post types and automation.  The site also required an easy-to-use portal for youth theatre practitioners to access information on funding, training and best practice in the youth theatre sector.  To assist with the management of YTAS memberships, the site would also needed integrated with a responsive CRM system to automate many manual admin tasks, such as membership updates and renewals.
Delivery
We used WordPress as the CMS and built a bespoke portal and dashboard. Separating content types and creating custom fields throughout, we were able to provide the team with a system that could be easily managed, updated and maintained. Our mobile-first approach ensured the website worked perfectly across devices and we ensured accessibility guidelines were implemented throughout.
As well as building the website, we helped the team choose and utilise a new CRM. Created automations for a variety of marketing tasks and set up memberships and payment systems to provide a revenue stream for the organisation.
