Illustration

In-house illustration capability, from single assets to full illustration systems.

Borrow - Illustrated Coffee Cup

A considered illustration style can give an organisation a warmth and distinctiveness that photography alone rarely achieves. We have in-house illustration capability and have developed bespoke illustration systems for organisations including the Natural History Museum, HowNow and The Global Alliance for the Future of Food. Work that required a consistent visual language across hundreds of assets and multiple applications.

We offer illustration as a standalone service and as part of broader brand, design and web projects.

01 About

What we deliver

We work across a range of illustration styles depending on what the project calls for,  from character-based illustration to diagrammatic and informational work. We design icon systems, spot illustrations, full editorial illustrations, campaign imagery and bespoke illustration languages for organisations that want a visual identity with genuine distinctiveness.

Where a project requires a complete illustration system, we design that framework as well as the initial assets, so the illustration style can grow alongside the organisation.

02 Our Approach

Who we work with

We work with organisations that want illustration to be a considered part of their visual identity, not a bolt-on. That includes charities, cultural organisations, museums and public bodies where illustration can make communications more accessible, more engaging and more distinctive.

Specialist Skills, in‑house

Every project is different, and some call for a more specialist approach. Alongside our core services, we offer a range of specialist capabilities, from custom typeface design and illustration through to membership websites and accessibility audits. These are things we do properly, in-house, rather than bringing in outside help. If something you need isn’t listed here, it’s always worth asking.
