We have been their digital partner since they formed in 2024, supporting them through launch, growth, restructure, and now a full rebuild.

Supporting a growing organisation
Foundations formed in 2024 from the merger of several existing organisations working in children’s social care. They needed a website from scratch, built quickly, structured clearly, and capable of growing with them as the organisation developed.
We designed and built their original site, establishing the information architecture, content structure and visual system from the ground up. The site launched in May 2024 and grew steadily through its first months as the organisation found its footing and began publishing content in earnest.
The first significant turning point came in early 2025, when we designed and built the Guidebook, a structured resource centre for practitioners, local authorities and care providers working in children’s social care. The launch of the Guidebook tripled site traffic in a single quarter. It demonstrated what we had built the site to do, providing a solid technical foundation that could generate compound returns as new content was added. By mid-2025, the site was consistently attracting over 30,000 users per quarter, with 43% arriving through organic search.

Engagement, restructure, and what comes next
Foundations is a fast-moving organisation, closely connected to the Department for Education and reactive to shifts in government policy. The volume of work we have done together reflects that pace, not any deficiency in what was built before.
Before the Guidebook launched, we facilitated engagement sessions with local care providers and local authorities across the country. This helped Foundations understand how practitioners actually needed to access and use the resources the site would host. That research shaped the structure, the taxonomy and the content model.
When Foundations needed to reposition and reapproach their funding at a critical point in their development, we led a strategic restructure of the site, rearchitecting the information structure and redesigning key sections to present the organisation’s work and impact as clearly and compellingly as possible.
We are now three years into the relationship and currently leading a full discovery phase ahead of a root-and-branch rebuild to future-proof the platform and align it with its current goals and position.
