TCA Accelerator Action Agenda
Turning a year of stakeholder insight into a website the TCA movement can act on.
Project Details
Client: TCA Accelerator (True Cost Accounting Accelerator)
Sector: Charity & The Third Sector
Services: Report Design, Web Care, Web Design, Web Development
Year: 2025 to ongoing
The TCA Accelerator is the global hub advancing True Cost Accounting to make food systems healthier, fairer, and more sustainable. Following a year-long stakeholder engagement process, we turned their 40-page Action Agenda report into an interactive, filterable web platform, built to grow into the Accelerator’s full site redesign later in 2026.

A first-of-its-kind strategic roadmap to revitalize our food systems.
Turning a 40-page report into a living roadmap
The TCA Accelerator, an Allied Initiative of the Global Alliance for the Future of Food, spent a year gathering insight from across the True Cost Accounting movement (governments, businesses, investors, producers, civil society, and researchers) into a single roadmap for mainstreaming TCA in food system decision-making by 2030. The result was the Action Agenda: a thorough, 40-page written report, and a brief for a web partner who could turn it into something people would actually use.
The challenge wasn’t design polish, it was translation. A dense policy report needed to become an interactive, action-oriented space that different audiences, from grassroots organisers to national policymakers, could navigate according to their own interests. It also needed a backend the Accelerator’s own team could maintain long after launch, and a structure that wouldn’t box in a future redesign of their main site, tcaaccelerator.org.
We led discovery and sitemap work through the end of 2025, followed by wireframes and design review with the TCA team in January 2026, before building and launching the site as actionagenda.tcaaccelerator.org in February 2026. The finished platform organises the report’s recommendations into five clear action areas, from sharpening advocacy strategy to broadening the TCA coalition, each explorable on its own or filtered across sixteen cross-cutting themes, so a reader interested in “public spending and budgets” or “producer leadership” can find every relevant action regardless of which section it sits in.

A framework built to grow with the movement
Because the Action Agenda is meant to evolve as the TCA movement grows, we built the site with a content structure the Accelerator’s team can manage themselves, adding new actions, resources, and endorsements without needing a developer for every update. Alongside the interactive report, the site carries the case for TCA itself: research and resources, a growing list of endorsing organisations from WWF to the FAO, and clear calls to get involved or endorse the agenda.
Since launch, we’ve continued to support the TCA Accelerator on a retainer basis, handling hosting, monthly reporting, and ongoing maintenance. The Action Agenda was always intended as a first step: a full redesign of the main tcaaccelerator.org site is planned for later in 2026, and we’re set to lead that project too, bringing the same platform thinking to the organisation’s wider digital presence.
