Spring Impact interviewed leaders at 28 non-profits operating across 70+ countries to understand how organisations fund solutions at scale. We designed the resulting report, translating a year of research and interview findings into a document built to be read, shared and referenced by non-profit leaders and funders alike.

Making a year of research easy to navigate
Spring Impact’s research team had spent months interviewing non-profit leaders and analysing operating budgets to answer a genuinely useful question: who actually pays for non-profits to sustain their impact at scale. The findings were rich but dense, six payer types, dozens of case studies, and data that needed to build a clear argument rather than just present numbers.
We designed the report as an interactive PDF with a persistent sidebar for jumping between sections, a consistent visual language of dot-matrix icons and colour-coded payer types running throughout, and a distinct callout format for organisation profiles and case studies that let readers dip into individual stories without losing the thread of the wider findings. Data was built around simple, repeatable visual formats, dot grids, donut charts and stat call-outs, so that the same shape of information stayed easy to compare across every payer type from philanthropy to end users.
The report shipped in two versions: a full 64-page report and a shorter executive summary for readers who wanted the headline findings without the full detail. Off the back of this project, Spring Impact came back the following year to brief us on a set of presentation decks, extending the same visual language into their ongoing work.
